Mental health

As we all know, now more than ever it’s so important to take care of our mental health. One of the ways SAMH say you can do this is by taking some time for yourself and get away from technology and social media. Reading has been proven to help reduce stress and anxiety. So why not settle down in a comfy chair and get lost is a new book. For more information on looking after your mental health and all their top tips, visit the SAMH website by clicking the link below.

Reading with kids

Reading isn’t just for adults. Research has shown that children who read improve in literacy at school. During these weeks of homeschooling and lockdown we know how hard it is for kids, so why not encourage your little ones to read a little each day. Spread the joy of reading to them. The Works have a great range of kids books and activity packs. Click the link below to shop the range and get them delivered straight to your door.

Local Libraries

Using your local library is an easy and free way to access books. Even during lockdown many of their services have moved online. It’s free to sign up and easy to use. See below a link to find out more about Renfrewshire libraries. Or visit your local council website to access the services in your area.
