Our Community
Over the past 25 years, Braehead has been dedicated to supporting our community and community partners.
Each year our customers, our staff and our retailers raise thousands of pounds for worthy causes. Our staff give up hundreds of hours to support local groups and lend their expertise to those who need it.
We also offer our community partners free space within the centre to promote the great work that they do.
We are very proud of our ongoing partnership with Alzheimer Scotland and of being a dementia-friendly shopping centre.
We also work with lots of other charities throughout the year including Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, the Beatson Cancer Charity, Maggie’s, Young Enterprise Scotland and the Renfrewshire Toybank.
Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. They aim to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. They provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, they campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
2023
In 2023 we raised over £63,000 for charities and local good causes!
Much of this was raised during our Festive events program, where schools, bands and performers collected on behalf of charities close to their hearts over the Festive period.
The Easter Egg Run is back!
Join us on Sunday 31st March for a family fun day in support of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
From around 11am the annual Easter Egg Run will arrive on our boardwalk, bringing hundreds of bikers in a mile-long convoy of colour, noise and smiles.
