Over the past 23 years, Braehead has been dedicated to supporting our community and community partners.
Each year our customers, our staff and our retailers raise thousands of pounds for worthy causes. Our staff give up hundreds of hours to support local groups and lend their expertise to those who need it.
We also offer our community partners free space within the centre to promote the great work that they do.

Menopause Warriors
Meet the last Thursday of every month from 18.30 – 20.30

Menopause Warriors are a friendly group who are going through menopause. They meet monthly within an informal supportive environment, sharing both experiences and ideas to manage our Menopause.

Alzheimer Scotland
Alzheimer Scotland are Scotland’s dementia charity.
Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Their aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. They provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, they campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.
They have Dementia Resource Centres in 21 different locations across Scotland. Those centres provide a safe and friendly environment for people with dementia and their carers to visit and take part in a wide variety of activity groups.
They also provide a 24-hour Freephone Dementia Helpline which provides information and emotional support to people with dementia, carers, families, friends and professionals.
There is a network of Dementia Advisors employed by Alzheimer Scotland who work in local communities to support people with a diagnosis by giving advice and information.
Dementia friendly shopping centre
Last year we became Scotland’s first dementia-friendly shopping centre, for our ongoing partnership with Alzheimer Scotland. All of our teams have been trained as Dementia Friends, so we can make visits to the shopping centre easier and more comfortable for people living with dementia.
Now you can show your support for the charity too, by donating any spare change to one of Alzheimer Scotland’s brand new collection boxes throughout the mall. All the money raised will go directly to helping people with dementia, their carers, partners and families.
