Shopmobility
Braehead's Shopmobility service allows easier access to our shopping and leisure facilities, for anyone who finds it difficult to get around. Manual and electric wheelchairs, as well as electric scooters, are available on loan and free of charge to members and non-members*.
You'll find us conveniently located on level 1A of the Blue Car Park. And don't worry about parking – there are 19 designated parking spaces for Shopmobility members hiring mobility equipment. There’s also a taxi drop off bay. If you’d prefer to use one of our other disabled spaces, don’t forget that there are 650 provided throughout all our car parks.
Become a member with Shopmobility
Customers who shop regularly might like to register with us. This allows you the added facility of being able to book wheelchairs in advance and reserve a car parking space if you are hiring mobility equipment. To download a registration form please click the link at the bottom of the page.
Would you like to volunteer?
If you can see the value in the service that Shopmobility provides, perhaps you can help? As there is no charge made for the service, we are always looking for volunteers to assist in its running. This may involve helping customers to and from their car, assisting with equipment hire or escorting customers throughout their shopping trip. It's a rewarding experience, so if you would like to know more, or if you know someone else who might be interested in becoming a volunteer, please phone Shopmobility on 0141-885-4630. Or feel free to pop in and see the facilities.
