Cancellation of curling ice due to bad weather

The last two years have seen exceptional winter weather conditions with curlers from some areas unable to get to Braehead due to snow and freezing temperatures. While this is unfortunate it is not an option for us to close the curling rink when the local roads are passable and we are open for business.

To maintain the integrity of the ice booking process all ice, once booked and confirmed by clubs or organisations at the start of the season, will be charged for and as the ice charge will remain it is the individual clubs judgement whether or not they fulfil their commitment.
